We had a good time talking with Sublime Roo.
She creates dance vibes with a lot of unique sounds. Her friends and family describe her as quirky.
Sublime Roo hails from The UK (in the South), but notes international musical influences. She is inspired by Bob Marley and likes the positive messages in his music. She also likes Incubus, Ministry, The Prodigy, The Fugees, John Martyn, Damian Marley, and Sublime.
Sublime likes to write music anywhere, anytime. She might find inspiration waiting in line or just staying at home, there is just always something creative going on in her mind.
On Cantrol… she evokes a smooth, almost spiritual sound before building the track with fast-paced techno synths. Alternatively, on Tonight… she creates a soundscape of effervescent synths with bouncy kicks that would make for a fun dance party.
Sublime Roo told us about how although she has electronic sounds, she believes that organic sounds touch at the heartstrings and is working on music with this type of instrumentation. She is working on new collabs with other artists and has more live shows coming up.
Sublime Roo has a lot of new music coming out. She is excited to showcase new collaborations and is thankful for all the support she has had so far. We look forward to hearing her new vibes.
It’s always cool to meet artists from all over the world.
More great sounds to come!”
